This past semester, I took part in the planning committee for the Women Who Dare to Dream Luncheon here at Maryville University’s campus. It was a Women’s History Month event held on Friday, March 21 at 11:30 am. The keynote address for the luncheon was Adrian Bracy, Chief Executive Officer for YWCA Metro St. Louis. The planning consisted of several meetings throughout the months of February and March, but the work paid off as feedback from the event proved very successful. Bracy spoke remarks that empowered the female attendees to embrace their careers and lives with motivation and enthusiasm. She shared anecdotal stories of how she had overcome obstacles and passed her lessons along to the students, faculty and staff that attended.
