Over the years I have produced and edited a variety of videos used for telling stories, fundraising, and training volunteers and staff in day-to-day tasks.
Gateway Pet Guardians “Join Tack’s Army” Fundraising Campaign
When Gateway Pet Guardians needed funds to help an animal in need, I created this video to share on social media and the website. The video consists of an interview with a GPG volunteer and was created using iMovie on the iPad.
Gateway Pet Guardians “How to Build a Community Cat House” How-To Video
Gateway Pet Guardians helps resident community cat caretakers in the Metro East by providing community cat shelters. These shelters help keep the cats safe from the elements. We use a design that is affordable and easily reproduced in quantity with commonly available materials and simple tools. The video below is a how-to video created to walk viewers through the process of creating their own community cat shelter.
Gateway Pet Guardians “The Rescue of Magee” Video
Magee was an abandoned stray we found in the frigid temperatures in December 2017. I spent days trying to find him and set up a plan to trap him. The day came, and I was lucky enough to capture his rescue on video with my new EKEN H9R Action Camera and combine the footage with a narrative shot with my iPad. This video introduces you to Magee and allows you to experience his rescue. I created it to help raise additional funds to go towards his vetting, as well as the 25+ pets we rescued from the cold temperatures.
Beyond Rescue Vlog Series
Beyond Rescue is a vlog series created to showcase the life and times of Gateway Pet Guardians. GPG has moved all operations to East St. Louis, Illinois. We wanted to document this transition and show what it truly means to be an animal welfare agency that takes a more holistic approach–focusing not only on the rescue of animals but the people who love and adore them, as well.
