There’s one thing that unites all of the members of PAW: a true passion for helping animals. Whether it be our pet fish and lizards, or our snuggly dogs and cats, we love spending time with them. And we take pride in the fact that we’re able to bring a voice to the animals and help those that are not as fortunate as the pets that we love. You can imagine how excited we were once we decided to find a facility to visit and complete a shelter shift!
On Sunday, March 29 Partners for Animal Welfare visited St. Louis County Animal Care & Control for a three-hour shelter shift. We had eight representatives, eager to work with the dogs and cats. We helped the facility by stuffing volunteer manuals, walking dogs, bathing dogs, and painting kennels, to name just a few of the tasks!
We ended the experience with a tour of the facility, where we learned all about the animal welfare industry. We are going to work towards the goal of securing funds to be able to continue our work with St. Louis County Animal Care & Control and do regular shelter shifts.
Thank you St. Louis County Animal Care & Control for a fun-filled day with the dogs!
