In January 2017, I assumed the role of Foster Development Coordinator at Gateway Pet Guardians. My duties include scheduling and facilitating development events for fosters within the organization, including new foster orientations and foster roundtables. The roundtable program is a series of events designed to provide opportunities for fosters to learn about new areas of fostering and rescue, and to help build the foster community.
Throughout the year, we hosted one roundtable a month covering a specific topic. Some of the topics included the following:
